ACI Offers 10-Day Free Service Center in Mumbai

Taking the clue from Epson, ACI is all set to hold a free service center in Mumbai for laptop users and its channel partners who have suffered losses due to the unprecedented flooding in Mumbai because of heavy rains.
The service starts from August 20 and will last for 10 days. The company will provide the free service for all makes and models of laptops.
Though it is a free service, Hirji Patel, CMD, ACI, said, "We will charge people a nominal amount at the component level. We will give them concessions like instead of Rs 4,000, which is the normal price for repair; we will get the work done for about Rs 1,500, which is very cheap."
Where parts need to be replaced, he said, ACI would be charging a minimal amount. "For example, a motherboard would cost Rs 2,000 to Rs 2,500."
ACI has four service centers in Mumbai and the company will be engaging at least 15 engineers to repair at the component level, Patel informed.
Before carrying out the repairs, the company will first verify whether the notebooks have actually been damaged due to the heavy rains and water-logging in Mumbai on July 26. "We will only service those notebooks that have been damaged due to the water-logging," he said.
