Plustek Intros IPcam P1100AF in India

Plustek Inc., a global player in imaging solutions, recently launched its new network camera, the IPcam P1100AF in India. It is a full-feature surveillance system that enables users to listen and watch the activities happening at their premises - be it home, office or operation facility - from anywhere and at anytime.
Users on the move can listen and watch live or recorded video and audio feed from IPcam P1100AF network camera on their mobile computers (laptops), PDAs and cell phones enabled with internet connectivity. Besides this, users can also broadcast live activity video and audio, product shoots, etc., to viewers in real time over a LAN (Ethernet/Fast Ethernet) or the internet/intranet.
For example, parents can monitor their children at home, keep an eye on the pet, check if all windows are closed and the stove is turned off. Business owners can check what's happening in their office or take a look at inventory in the store.
According to the company, the IPcam P1100AF network camera scores over traditional CCTV cameras on many fronts. It has a low total cost of ownership (acquisition costs and recurring costs) and does not require elaborate wiring of the premises or setting up of control rooms and staffing.
The new camera provides digital zoom function that can be remote controlled through the Web interface. Its 2x digital zoom enables the camera to obtain a much closer view. The new network camera is enhanced with CMOS sensor that provides sharp and clear image with life-like color representation. It provides resolution out to 640X480 pixels. It is also equipped with inside microphone, which adds sound that accompanies with video.
Altogether, users can record streaming vide with sound that utilizes high quality Motion-Jpeg short header mode compression to their hard drive, enabling motion detection and set up automated e-mail alert notification.
The bundled surveillance software further enhances the security features of the P1100AF, allowing users to archive streaming video and audio straight to their hard drive, playback video, monitor as many as four cameras on a single screen, and set up motion detection to trigger automotive recording. Plustek IPcam P1100AF Camera with in accordance with setting for the sensor alert, Motion detection sensor, Human detection sensor, Timer and other function, The camera will transfer image and a data log by e-mail address or FTP to a server.

Interesting product lines such as IP Cams, Document Scanners etc... I think rather than going through a middle level partner like Telexcell in India Plustek should come of their own team in India as Telexcell doesn't have all India presence & products like IP Cam can be sold in numbers through the peripherals & components National Distributors. Document Scanner has a bright future in India & Plustek should take the entry asap into this product line. Apponting multiple partners will make sense & tie ups with metro cities partners with better business propositions should be done with a standard ground level publicity activities. Plustek should try to dislodge people from the industry who are already with 1/ 1 & half year/s experience in the same product line & build up their team in India. I wish all the best to Plustek. |
