Mumbai, Apr 14, 2008
Sun Microsystems has introduced a special promotion on its Sun Blade 6000 system offering free chassis with any combination of 3 blades (Sparc, Intel or AMD). The offer is valid till June 30, 2008.
Only Blades offered as part of the promo are eligible for free chassis with a maximum 2 chassis per customer eligible under this scheme.
According to the company, the Blade 6000 system offers up to 15% less power consumption, meaning you can increase the compute density of your datacenter for greater efficiency and massive consolidation potential. Also, it runs as cool as rackmount servers.
Blade 6000 system's transparent management integrate seamlessly with existing management tools - without additional proprietary, complex software. It's the first and only open blade system based on Sparc, AMD and Intel processors for complete choice, the company claims.
Its scalable modular design makes it fast to deploy, easy to service and easy to upgrade - all of which helps protect your investments and improve return on investment.
