By ChannelTimes Staff
Mumbai, Aug 11, 2009 1255 hrs IST

Transcend Information, a provider of storage and multimedia products, has released its Extreme Plus 600X CompactFlash cards with Turbo MLC technology in the Indian market. These new 600X CF cards offer transfer speeds of up to 92MB/s read and 87MB/s write, and are targeted toward professional photographers and enthusiasts who use digital single lens reflex (DSLR) cameras.

Austin Huang, Regional Head (Sales), SAARC & APAC, Transcend, said, "We are extremely proud to have once again redefined performance in the CF Cards segment with our new Extreme Plus 600X CompactFlash cards with Turbo MLC technology. We are confident that Indian photographers, both professional and amateur, and all other power users will appreciate the excellent and unmatched performance offered by this technologically superior product."

As per the company, its Extreme Plus 600X CompactFlash cards operate in quad-channel mode using Ultra DMA (UDMA) 6. In comparison with 300X CF cards, this new version offers nearly double the read write speeds for unparalleled file transfer performance.

With its UDMA interface, Transcend's 600X CF cards can store extremely high-resolution image data. Now available in 8GB and 16GB capacities, the Extreme Plus 600X CompactFlash cards carry a two-year warranty. Available with Redington, Supertron, Mediaman and Luminous Technologies, these cards are priced at Rs. 8,000 (8GB), and Rs. 16,000 (16GB).
