 Q: End user dont prefer to buy Canon as its maintenance is costly and the cartridge drum provided is also small. Any solutions?The portable copier F290 is not easily available in market and few of my clients are eager to buy the same . Please update me from where I can get the same at the earliest?The margins we get with Canon should be increased as it very less as compare to other vendors?You need to improve your interaction with the channels or dealers.What kind of marketing strategies are you planning to promote your fax and copiers in market?

It would be good if you invite the channels who are yet not dealing with canon but doing good with the products like printers , fax or copier etc so that the market can a better idea about Canon.What kind of marketing strategies you are planning to promote your fax machine and copiers in north India ?

 Q: At quality and pricing Canon printers are very good but lagging behind only because of small drum of cartridge? What action you are planning to initiate to improve on that?HP is having a strong position and the reason is their aggressive marketing strategies. What are you doing for same?Are there any plans to open a demo outlet in Delhi as it would be a good support to increase Canons visibility in market?

  Hi Hem, It is a matter of perception that HP yield is better, but reality are just reverse, many test reports have comfirmed that Canon cost per page is better in many categories.....

  We have retail showrooms fully equipped to handle demos for our AV products, Photo & IT products.

 Q: Products of Canon are good but the service availability are poor in Durgapur 1 or 2 are there but in Kolkata which becomes inconvenient. What are you doing about the same?Will there be the option of availability of spare parts of products in near future.

  Hi Chakraborty, Thanks for bringing this to our notice, infact we are going to revamp our service channel completely, wait for few more days, it will be more effective & friendly service.

 Q: We have lots of problems with the printer heads how would you solve the problem for us ?What is the initiative on the retail market?What are the features of the new range of printers PIXMA?

  Hi Rana, canon Print head is the best & it lasts for the complete life cycle of the product, some time customers gets lured to cheap options of refills, which damages the print head, we have not many cases where print head has failed technically more than 95% cases head gets damaged due to refills..

  On market initiatives, we are expanding our IT retail from 20 to 40 , photo retail from 15 to 30 & AV retail from 11 to 30 by end of 2005, we hav ealso opened demo centers for AV / Photo where one can have look & feel of our products...

  Hello Sanjay, Regarding print head I just explained in details in on eof the previous question, Canon Print head is the best & we have hardly any failuer, all damages happen due to refill etc, Regardin pricing, our marketing dept circulates to all our channel partners & consumable partners.
