AMD has announced a comprehensive channel partner training programme in India. The programme, named 'Dive 2008', is targeting nearly 2000 partners from across 20 cities. It will educate partners in the Computer Processing Group (CPG), Retail and Graphics Processing Group (GPG) and on the recently announced AMD technologies. The training will also equip the partners with the required skills to enhance their productivity and profitability.
According to a company communiqu , the partner training programme has been initiated to educate the channel partners - on the combined power of AMD's new products in the processor, graphics and chipsets space, unleashed in the next generation platforms and solutions from AMD.
The program has been launched in Chennai, and will soon be extended to partners in Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi and Bangalore in its first phase. Later, it will be rolled out in other cities, such as - Hyderabad, Pune, Ludhiana, Guwahati, Patna, Ahmedabad, Ranchi, Bhubaneshwar, Nagpur, Chandigarh, Indore, Surat, Trivandrum and Coimbatore.
Contextually, it may be recalled that in the post ATI acquisition period, AMD has developed commercial platforms and solutions that combine microprocessors with ATI's strengths in graphics, chipsets and consumer electronics.
While launching the programme, Deepanshu Sharma, GM - Marketing, Strategy and ISV Alliances, AMD India, said, "Dive 2008 is an excellent platform to understand the depth of our technology offerings, in order for partners to educate customers on the right choice. In addition, the program will also impart specific training to grow the business of our partners, and help them provide value added services to consumers."
