Acer India Appoints Savex as National Distributor

Acer India has appointed Savex Computers as a new national distributor for its monitor business. As per the latest IDC report, Acer has recorded a market share of 20.1% (Q2 2008) in the widescreen LCD monitor segment in India.
Specially targeting toward B, C & D class cities, this alliance will provide Acer an opportunity to improve access, and allocate additional resources to its channel network. With this tie-up, Acer plans to scale its operations to the next level for its growing monitor business.
S Rajendran, CMO, Acer India, said, "The tie-up with Savex Computers is testimony to our flourishing monitor business in India. Our widescreen monitor business has grown dramatically in the last one year, almost doubling our market share in India. By partnering with Savex to increase our distribution across the country, we hope to continue this growth trend through H2 2008 as well."
Jayant Goradia, CEO, Savex Computers, said, "We are pleased to be in partnership with Acer. Through this partnership we look forward to leveraging Acer's innovative technology, and help the largest brand in widescreen TFT market increase its reach across the country to address emerging opportunities."
