Acer Introduces Android Smartphone Liquid

Acer Smart Handheld Business Group (SHBG) has unveiled a new smartphone, named Liquid, based on Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and Android 1.6 OS. The phone incorporates latest software innovations and single touch ultra-fluid user interface, which allows users to get all new mobile experience including web browsing, social media integration, audio and video streaming.
Richard Tan, country head-India, Acer SHBG, said, "Liquid exemplifies speed in style. With ellipse curves and a slim body shape, Liquid will please the style-seeking smartphone consumer. " He added, "Liquid, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon running Android 1.6 delivers real-time ubiquitous communication and location-aware content. Liquid is outstanding for multimedia, web browsing, social media integration and video streaming."
Acer Liquid, priced at Rs 24,900 (with 2 GB micro SD), is the first Wide-VGA smartphone in the market benefiting from the latest release of the Android 1.6 Operating System. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, Acer Liquid provides instant access to web pages, smooth streaming of videos or music, and instant response from popular mail, maps and search applications. The developer community can now take full advantage of these capabilities to bring to market innovative applications that demand raw computing power and superior handling of 3D graphics.
Additional features include improved power management, optimized camera with geo-tagging, exclusive Spinlets application providing free streaming of music and video, integration of Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Picasa and Flickr in the address book, with real-time notification of status or content updates.
