By

Mumbai, May 21, 2007
Actis Technologies, an audio-visual solutions providing company, recently announced its expansion plans for 2007-08. The company has decided to appoint 250 dealers in this fiscal year with a view to increase its reach in B and C class cities.
Talking about company's latest plans, Abhimanyu Gupta, director, Actis Technologies said, "Considering the tremendous growth in the B and C market, the company's focus will remain to reach the partners based in these cities. We have nine branches across the country, wherein we have appointed the company representatives who will work towards locating potential Audio Visual (AV) partners."
With the said expansion plan, the company intends to enhance the role of its regional distributor, involving them in the selection process.
With the growing demand for audio-visual solutions within the enterprise and SMB segment, the company foresees a great potential in the Tier II and III cities. "We plan to target verticals like education, government, IT, ITES, banking, logistics and manufacturing," said Gupta.
Further discussing the importance of training and education programs Gupta elaborated, "For the kind of product line we offer, it is important for us to provide regular training and education programs."
Actis conducts training sessions on a quarterly basis. Apart from that to increase the awareness among the channel partners the company has zeroed on to aggressive marketing strategies like road shows, email campaigns and increasing the headcount of its regional teams.
Apart from announcing its expansion plans, the company also awarded its channel partners in a recently held Actis annual general dealers meet. The partners were awarded on the basis of sales and the value addition in their business.
Mumbai based, Harshkumar Srivastava of Addvantage, who won the award for top performer said, "The strong point about Actis is that it offers range of products with best of prices, which makes it lucrative for the dealers to deal with the company. It also helps us enjoy decent margins."
Actis offers different range of products like projectors, solutions for video conferencing, home theatre, LCDs and others. The company has a strong hold in corporate and education segment.
With the growing demand for home theatre and LCDs, the partners feel that the company should also try and concentrate on the SOHO segment.

Actis has successfully appointed 500 dealers. Also we target joining hands with another 250 dealers to make in roads into the B & C class cities. We do not believe making announcement to create false publicity. Actis and its channel partners are a team and we work very closely to achieve our targets. We support our channel partners with training programmes, advertisements, incentive schemes & generating leads.
