By

Mumbai, Aug 3, 2006
With the demand for DLP projectors expected to rise significantly in the coming years from the 58 percent growth in 2005, Actis Technologies, the audio-visual and environment control solutions provider, has partnered with BenQ for their DLP projectors.
Speaking on the tieup, Abhimanyu Gupta, director, Actis Technologies, said, "We provide maximum flexibility to our customers in terms of product choices. Our tieup with BenQ is a strategic move in this direction. BenQ projectors provide extremely good picture quality, which enhances the viewers' experience, and are the best DLP projectors available today."
Max Hsu, business head-CE, BenQ, added, "BenQ is the worldwide leader in DLP projectors. Our decision to team up with Actis was unanimous as they are amongst the Top 3 projector distributors in India and they are also a leading AV solutions provider in the country. Actis' strong presence across India enabled us to choose them as our partner. This is in line with our growth plans."
He further added, "The share of XGA has been increasing year on year in India and we feel our wide range of XGA projectors which includes installation, mobile & professional series of projectors can enhance Actis' offering to their customers from the corporate, government and education segments."
DLP technology uses an optical semiconductor to manipulate light digitally. It is a highly reliable, all-digital display chip that delivers excellent picture quality across a broad range of products including large screen digital TVs, and projectors for business, home and digital cinema. One of the biggest advantages of DLP projectors is their compact size and clarity of image. DLP projectors use light efficiently and provide a crisp and sharp picture which is especially important for business presentations which use slides, spreadsheets etc.

We Fail to understand, how Actis is looking for a tie up with BenQ, Benq projectors are also sold by Genesis, SpiceNet, Hamsa, Name any Guy in the AV Industry, Benq has tied up with every one. It is sad that, even after all the tieups, The numbers of the BenQ Projectors have fallen Down. The same mistake Acer has also done. But now Acer is understood the market well, and they have any few top OA Dealers in each state, and this is how BenQ should also do.
BenQ dealers like Hamsa, Spice Net are looking Acer, SO better gear up BenQ, and reorganise ur strategies. |

Hi Ashish, Actis has tied up with Benq as a National Distributor, not as a dealer. Local Dealers will buy from Actis. Similar to Actis's tie-up with EPSON for their projectors. |
