Adobe India Introduces Acrobat 3D Software

Adobe Systems India has extended its Acrobat product line with the launch of Acrobat 3D software, targeted at the upcountry markets.
Through this new launch, the company is specifically looking to target the architecture, engineering and construction sectors (AEC), along with the manufacturing market. The new product is priced at about Rs 45,000.
S. Angiah, business development manager, India & Saarc, Adobe Systems India, said, "This new product has strong control mechanism. Piracy will not be an issue with this product since people in the manufacturing and AEC are ready to spend money on products like this."
On the distribution side, the company will be pushing the product through its authorized resellers as well as its OEM partners like Bentley and PTC. "We would be focusing more on the B & C class cities. We would be targeting cities like Pune, Ahmedabad, Coimbatore, etc. Currently, we have about 35 to 40 authorized Adobe resellers," Angiah said.
The company is now looking at training people in the B & C class cities as well as bringing more channel partners in the upcountry market.
