Mumbai, May 11, 2007
In order to reach its latest product line to the print and publishing end users in B and C class cities, Adobe has announced its intention to add at least 20 more Adobe Authorized Resellers (AARs) to its kitty by the end of November 2007.
Commenting on the privileges accruing to the AARs, Sandeep Mehrotra, country sales manager, Adobe India said, "These AARs will be directly managed and supported by Adobe and have access to the channel web that provides them with the primary information regarding the Adobe products." He also added that an AAR is entitled to incentives from the company.
Another initiative that the company has taken to achieve the object of educating the end users is in the form of roadshows that it is currently conducting in 12 cities of India, including Jaipur, Chandigarh, Delhi, Bangalore, Coimbatore, Kochi, Hyderabad, Vijaywada, Kolkata, Indore and Pune.
"We are in the midst of our program and have already covered Chennai, Mumbai and Bangalore. The road show consists of presentation and demonstrations for the end users in print, publishing, designing industries," added Sandeep explaining that if the channel partners are not aware of a product, they would not be able to educate the customers and therefore Adobe organized the road shows.
Recently, Adobe had conducted its jump-start program in six cities in April wherein the partners were trained on the new Adobe Creative Suite 3 comprising 13 new products and 6 new Suites. "Channel partners are now visiting the existing customers, informing them about the upgraded product line and latest products, and also tapping the potential customers," added Sandeep.
The different verticals that Adobe is currently targeting are advertising, print, publication, animation and education Commenting on the primary strategy adopted by the vendor to reach out in the education segment, Sandeep told ChannelTimes, that we are contacting educational institutions to make Adobe product courses available to the students so as to make them well versed with the product and provide with certified training.
