Amaravati Resellers Need More Focus from Vendors

Amaravati, a city at the west of Nagpur, is also known as the city of Lord Indra. The IT industry of this city is taking a new route. The city hosts a population of 2,606,063, and it has 60 registered resellers.
Most of the resellers of the small places mainly face after-sales service problems. Therefore, the consumers of those regions choose to buy products of the companies, whose after-sales service centers are available within the vicinity.
"Consumers of this place choose to buy HP's desktops or laptops because the company's service centre is located here. Due to this reason - the sale of HP products are more here," says Vivek Hadole from Shree Samarath Computers.
A small percentage of the users there also prefer assembled PCs - with Intel parts - as they come cheaper than branded PCs, and have no service problems, as the resellers are always approachable for any problem in their PCs. Therefore, consumers prefer assembled PCs.
Situated 156 km away from Nagpur, resellers there rarely receive schemes and trainings from the vendors. "I last attended Logitech's training programme four months back. Due to communication problems with the vendors - we get less opportunity to take advantage of the schemes given by them. But as the festive season is coming ahead, we have got few schemes from LG, HP and Acer," says Sameet Bhadak from IC Technology.
"The laptop market has slowly geared up there. End-users now are more interested in buying laptops than desktops", says Atul Sapkam of Sai Systems.
The IT industry of Amaravati is growing slowly, but if the vendors are able to reach the resellers with new schemes and even provide them with proper trainings, the IT industry will acknowledge much more growth.
