Aspire One: Acer's First Mobile Internet Device

Acer recently launched its first Internet device -- Aspire one. The Aspire one is an all-new communication device designed to provide a true mobile and wireless experience to the user with continuous Internet access.
Aspire one comes with a single goal in mind -- Enrich lives of people through simplicity by giving them an immediate Internet access and easy communication across entire online social networks.
The Aspire one was designed to get you online in no time at all and with Linpus Linux Lite operating system start up and shut down time is reduced to the minimum. With the device running on Linux environment, the simplicity continues with the intuitive and specifically optimized software interface. For example, the specially-developed one Mail software application easily manages up to 6 separate email accounts in a single window while the Messenger program can simultaneously handle the most popular instant messaging accounts.
Miniaturization of core components has reduced the dimensions of Aspire one to less than an average diary and while weighing below 1kg -- leaving a sleek, light, and comfortable footprint. It also features 95 percent full-sized keyboard for natural and easy typing.
Finally, it is built for Internet navigation and delivers the ideal balance between optimal viewing of online content and reduced LCD size: 8.9" screen fits the 1024x600 web resolution to perfection without sacrificing clarity, compactness, and light weight.
