Asus has unveiled the first motherboard in its newly-developed 'TUF' (The Ultimate Force) Series - the Sabertooth 55i. The TUF Series is specially developed to meet the heavy computing demands of power users and perform well even under extreme conditions. To achieve stability, TUF Series motherboards have undergone a more stringent testing program than what most motherboard producers currently undertake, the company said.
The Sabertooth 55i model incorporates the Intel P55 chipset. Vinay Shetty, country head, component business, Asus (India), said the ASUS Sabertooth 55i is aimed for the serious performance enthusiast looking for the best motherboard solution in the market today.
"The first of our TUF series motherboards, it is as the name suggests the ultimate motherboard for high performance needs. This motherboard also employs some never-before-used technologies like the CeraM!X microfin coating and military-level tested capacitors and VRM MOSFETs to give users increased operational stability and provide them with the ultimate motherboard for their high-end rigs," Shetty said. The Sabertooth 55i motherboard includes the CoolMem! Fan Frame, which encloses standard 40mm or 50mm computer fans, and fits them directly over the memory module. Users thus gain a cooling solution that significantly stabilizes memory operation.
