Aventail Customizes New ST2+ For India Market

Aventail, the SSL VPN services provider, announced its advanced SSL VPN remote access platform, ST2+, featuring the market's fastest, most comprehensive endpoint checking and the first integrated professional reporting solution for usage and user tracking.
It also features a new virtual keyboard for additional protection from keystroke loggers and identity theft. An end-user can now enter his authentication credentials via a virtual keyboard when in an untrusted environment such as a kiosk.
Ajay Kumar N., country manager, Aventail, said, "This is a global launch, but the product has been customized to cater to the Indian market. A lot of our customers had been looking forward to this launch and it will definitely be well-received as a host of new features have been added. This will be our key focus for Q4."
ST2+ adds many advanced features designed to provide additional benefits in three key areas that: detect the identity and security of the endpoint; protect applications through granular access controls; and connect users securely to applications.
Aventail ST2+ is the only remote access controller with universal access through one gateway, a seamless user experience, and central management for all access methods, the company said. Aventail SSL VPNs, running the ST2+ platform, secure access from devices running Windows, Windows Mobile, Linux, and Macintosh, and enable complete reach to all network resources with granular policy and bidirectional access controls.
The ST2+ platform will be generally available in late November 2006, distributed through Aventail's channel of resellers and service providers. Pricing starts at Rs 1,99,000.
The products featured are: Aventail EX-750, a full-featured SSL VPN appliance tailored for small to midsized enterprises; Aventail EX-1600, an enterprise-class solution tailored for midsized enterprises; and Aventail EX-2500, a scalable, enterprise-class solution, integrating high availability and load-balancing support.
