Bangalore ICT Event to Focus on B2B

BangaloreIT.biz - the new avatar of bangaloreit.in - will focus on providing a B2B platform for the industry to promote partnerships and forge alliances with leading players in domestic and international markets.
The 11th edition of India's flagship ICT event will be held in the IT capital of India at the Palace Grounds from Nov 6-8, 2008.
"The Indian IT sector is flourishing and BangaloreIT.biz will definitely play a crucial role in nurturing that growth by giving the industry a platform for collaborations and partnerships. The focus this year is clearly on B2B it is imperative for the companies to meet across the table and conduct business at length. BangaloreIT.biz will provide just that business environment for expressing, exchanging and empowering which is the theme of the event this year," said N. R. Narayana Murthy, chairman of the Board and Chief Mentor, Infosys Technologies.
The event will include workshops & round tables, a CEO conclave and an IT Power Golf tourney. Leading ICT countries like USA, Germany, Japan, Australia, Singapore have confirmed their participation. Latin American countries like Mexico and Chile have also confirmed their presence in BangaloreIT.biz and many other countries like Russia are also expected to confirm their participation.
Hosts Government of Karnataka and STPI Bangalore have roped in India Semiconductor Association (ISA) and Manufacturer's Association for Information Technology (MAIT) as partners to provide more depth, along with MM Activ and Events Ten.
According to R. Rajalakshmi, STPI, Bangalore, Director, "This year we have two sets of awards being presented for the first time ever we will have an STPI Export Awards for outstanding performance and contribution in the ICT industry and the BangaloreIT.biz Excellence awards for outstanding participants of BangaloreIT.biz."
The 3-day conference will include emerging opportunities for ICT in green technologies, IT manufacturing, e-security, e-governance, health care, education and a round-table discussion on the Rural IT Policy. Two other subjects that will be taken-up for discussions are "IT in the Nation's Internal Security" and "The role of IT in Sports".
