Brother Looks For Retail Partners to Promote MFCs

By Yuga Chaudhari
Mumbai, Jun 22, 2007

Brother International India, the Japanese electronics and IT imaging solutions company, plans to appoint 60 retail channel partners for its newly launched range of inkjet MFCs targeted at the Soho segment.

R. S. Anand Kumar, general manager, printing solutions division, personal & home division, Brother, said, "We intend to promote the new line of products through retail as home users prefer buying through 'touch and feel' experience. We plan to complete the selection procedure by the end of July."

According to Kumar, the company plans to launch multi-channel promotions and direct-contact programs through malls and other IT retail spaces in 25 cities. "Initially, we will focus on 15 cities, but our target would remain covering 25 cities in a phased manner. In the first phase we plan to target the five metros while phase two would include cities like Kochi, Ahmedabad, Pune, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jaipur, Lucknow, etc," added Kumar.

The company will provide training and demonstrations to the retail partners as well as put up its display counters and demo zones, Kumar informed.

Speaking about the latest MFCs, Nirmalya Biswas, marketing manager, Brother, said, "Currently, there is a great demand for photo printing applications among the home users. The new range of products will provide enhanced photo printing solutions to the end-users. Further, it will take care of basic printing requirements of a small office like printing, scanning and copying,."

"Considering the end-users that we are targeting, our major focus would remain on retail," Biswas added.

The company, which recently appointed Neoteric as its national distributor for its inkjets, intends to increase its service centers count to 100. Currently, it has 54 service centers across India. The company offers one-year onsite warranty for its MFCs.
What do you think of Brother's retail plans?

Dear Viewer Do not Believe in their Commitments as they all are Fake. They never Fulfill their Commitments and Promises These are only Fictions when their Goal will achieved by Dealer's they will Kick them out by Making So Many Silly Excuses. That's why they are always in Search of new Innocent Partner. So as a well Wisher I Advice all new Partner's to think Again If you are Panning to Join it.
