Buffalo Appoints RDs For Southern Region
By
Sharmee Roy
New Delhi, Mar 15, 2006
Japan-based Buffalo Inc, has inducted two regional distributors in South to get greater mileage in the region. The new RDs are Indo Cosmo System and Indo Fuji Information.
Last September the company had appointed Delhi based Nexgen Networks as its RDs for north.
Anju Thapa, India liaison representative, Buffalo Inc., said, "At this point our main focus is on the northern and southern regions. Once we establish ourselves firmly in these regions, we will look beyond. Both these distributors in south have their own reach in different segments and therefore will help to target the southern market better. And with Nexgen we already have a strong presence in North India."
In addition to these distributors, the vendor also has eight channel partners who are primarily located in the northern part of the country. The company also intends to expand this network, but is yet to decide on the numbers yet.
The company is also looking at retail for the Indian market and is currently working on the lines. Thapa said, "Like the markets in other countries where we have achieved most success through retail segment, we want to go ahead with the same strategy in the Indian market."
The vendor has set a target of $110,000 per year.
