Buffalo Inducts Accel for New Support Program

By ChannelTimes Staff
Mumbai, Feb 28, 2008

Buffalo, the Japan based provider of consumer storage solutions, announced a comprehensive product warranty and support policy for its consumer NAS, external storage and wireless networking products in India.

Accel Frontline, a Chennai based warranty services outsourcer with over 36 offices in 34 cities and 100 service locations in India, has been appointed to manage the Buffalo support and service program on an end-to-end basis.

Effective immediately and available initially at the central location, Chennai, in India, the support program is designed to offer free, simple, hassle-free, limited steps and quick service for Buffalo products bought through authorized resellers/direct customers in India.

Morikazu Sano, senior vice president-global sales & marketing at Buffalo said, "This entire initiative will be managed directly by us and we will expand this support infrastructure in a phased manner, in line with our product sales pattern and emerging customer location clusters."

N. R. Panicker, chairman and managing director, Accel Frontline, said, "With a vast, well-experienced and efficient support infrastructure we are confident that our service will further expand market opportunity and positive brand mindshare for Buffalo in India."

The multi-level program offers:

A central helpdesk toll-free number service (1 800 425 6210) and service hotline (044 28299213) that customers can use to gather information regarding nearest Buffalo sales outlets, product warranty and other technical issues. The toll-free service will be attended from Monday to Friday between 9 am and 6 pm. During other times, a recorded message would greet the customer and inform about the service centre operating time.

Technical email support (csbuffalo@accelfrontline.in) that could be accessed 24/7 for any kind of technical queries. For RMA support, customers could send an email on csbuffalo@accelfrontline.in

To provide efficient product warranty and RMA service to its growing customer base in India, Buffalo will stock adequate buffer quantities of its products at Accel Frontline, Chennai.

As a result of these initiatives, the company said it is now fully geared up to provide 24-48 hour services in all metros and 72 hours support in tier 2 and tier 3 locations across India.
