Buffalo to Educate Channel Partners

By ChannelTimes Staff
New Delhi, Oct 2, 2007

Buffalo Inc is strengthening its commitment of providing world-class storage products and educating its distributors on upcoming technology through a nationwide training program targeting NAS devices and the recently launched TurboUSB Technology in storage devices.

Atsuo Shibata, head-India operations of Buffalo Inc., said, "We're holding channel meet programs in every city, primarily starting with Advent's city offices' locations and coinciding these meets with technical training programs."

The training program is specifically designed to target the System Integrators (SIs), channel partners and dealers to help them gain better understanding of products.

According to Shibata, training plays a vital role in the growth of business as the NAS products are particularly suited for selling through SIs and they need to be educated about the technology and the use of the product.

"Since we're confident about the quality of our products, creating awareness amongst our distributors and SIs about our products is very important. We're therefore organizing training programs to update them with Buffalo's latest products and technology," he added.

Till now, the training has already been held in 4 cities covering the channel partners of 7 Super Dealers, who witnessed live demonstration of the products, and went through a technical training.

In total Advent Infotech has 17 Super Dealers throughout India. Buffalo plans to continue such training over the coming quarters along with the introduction of a new product range.

Usually, there's a 1-day training program in every city. The company is planning to cover all 4 metros including the B- class cities like Dehradoon, Lucknow, Jaipur etc.

Approximately 25-30 channel partners take part in it every day and if more partners are willing to participate, then the company is flexible about extending the program.
