CCS Infotech Achieves Linux Certification

CCS Infotech, a Chennai based manufacturer of desktops, laptops, servers and peripherals, announced that it has been awarded Linux certification by Red Hat Enterprise, the corporate Linux standard for its range of advanced PCs.
With this certification, CCS will receive regular updates that provide additional features and new hardware support, certified software and hardware applications. Access to the latest bug fixes and security errata, multiple support services options with unlimited incidents, provides enhanced systems management capabilities, access to Red Hat network's automated software delivery and update capability, flexibility to deploy any enterprise Linux release, including future upgrades.
M. A. Hasan Abdul Kader, managing director of CCS InfoTech, said, "By acquiring this certification we have proven to posses the knowledge, skills, and commitment required to meet the extended needs of the IT industry today." He added, "While the customer has always enjoyed the quality and value out of our offerings, this certification is to ensure that our products are environmental-friendly as per the standards of Linux certificate."

To achieve Linux certification, a company must have desktop which comprises improved storage and file system capabilities, new security capabilities, improved desktop capabilities and other miscellaneous features like multiple languages, file serving, software development, advanced configuration and power interface.
