Canon India has rewarded its top-performing channel partners with the 'Wings of Glory 2008' programme - by taking them to Mediterranean cruise off Barcelona and visiting Mice & Monte in French Riviera & Ibiza.
It may be contextually noted that only those partners - who do more than Rs 1 crore businesses with Canon in a year, get to participate in this programme. In 2008 programme, Canon India invited all those partners who grew more than 40% in 2007 over 2006 amongst those Rs 1 crore partners.
Under this motivational programme, Canon rewarded its top 50 partners across its channels for all products. This year, the 'Wings of Glory' programme has completed 6 years. Canon India's president and CEO, senior vice president, all directors and national sales head accompanied the channel partners' team in cruise.
Commenting on the event, Alok Bharadwaj, senior vice president of Canon India said, "Canon has created 'Wings of Glory' event as one of its annual properties with its channel partners. This programme focuses on the growth and business benefits of their esteemed partners. The objective of the programme is largely to felicitate the top partners of Canon - who have done successful business over the last financial year. Our partners find such events very inspirational and aspirational. They felt very happy in interacting with company's senior management team."
V. P. Sajeevan of Consumer System Products (Printers and Scanners), Shunichi Senda of Image Communication Products (Cameras and Camcorders) and Som Gangopadhyay of Business Imaging Solutions (Copiers and MFDs) had individual sessions with respective channel partners.
Som Gangopadhyay, director (Marketing and Channel Sales) - Business Imaging Solutions Division of Canon India, said, "'Wings of Glory' is not just an incentive scheme but it is much more. This is an industry first business platform - where the principal and its business partners meet and share their concerns - and also seek to solve the problems on current basis, as well as get ready for the future. This programme not only helps the partners enjoy together but also allow them to learn and share best practices across different geography"
