Cartridge World, the Australian specialty cartridge retailing chain, has announced that is has received a good market response in India. The company has attributed this increase to the expanded India presence and ongoing economic slowdown.
"We have observed a substantial increase in the bookings and the enquiries, especially from the enterprise sector. This is almost 120% more than the performance of last year during the same period. Many corporate have cut down on their operational costs to meet these challenges," said Naveen Rakhecha, CEO (APAC), Cartridge World.
"We are continuously adding to our customer base in India. Our customers are not only saving substantially but also contributing to the cause of environmental concerns by reusing and recycling the cartridges," added Rakhecha.
Currently, the vendor has set up 45 franchisee stores across India in 19 cities. The company aims at opening 50 more stores in the country by the end of March 2008. Now, the company is planning to open 250 more stores in tier-I and tier-II cities. Moreover, it will also expand its presence in tier-III cities.
The Cartridge World store offers a 'while-u-wait' service for refilling of inkjets and toners. These stores are owned and operated by independent franchises. The franchise owners and their staff are provided with training programmes at the company's training centers in Mumbai and Adelaide, Australia.
