Check Point Optimistic about India Market

Check Point, a provider of total security solutions, is planning to increase its investements in India. In an attempt to reach out to more customers in India, the company is also primarily focusing on its partners. The company conducts regular training programmes for its partners. Check Point's Chairman and CEO, Gil Shwed, who is on his maiden India visit, also reiterated his commitment toward India market.
At present, the company offers a pure advantage programme for its channel partners. It is planning some more channel initiative in the future too. Elaborating more on it, Bhaskar Bakthavatsalu, Country Manager (India & SAARC), Check Point, said, "To join our silver category, a partner should have a minimum engineering degree, while this criteria does not apply to bronze partners. We expect 46% growth in our business for the financial year 2008-09, and we are optimistic about our India future and market opportunities."
Adding more to it, Shwed said, "We have observed 40% financial growth last year, and by the end of this year, we expect $800 million business worldwide."
