By

Mumbai, Dec 27, 2007
Emerson, a power solutions provider, is gearing up to launch new products and concentrate on untapped markets in the New Year.
According to Sandeep Nair, managing director of Emerson Network Power India, "After enjoying a considerable amount of market share in the enterprise segment, Emerson will now consolidate its position by launching Micro UPS products targeted at the Small-Office Home-Office (SOHO) segment."
The company also intends to address the channel segments by making available solutions for VoIP telephony systems. With the boom in engineering and services segment, Emerson will soon launch offerings catering to this segment also.
Talking about the power solutions trends in 2008, Nair said, "Global warming is the biggest issue and energy efficiency is the buzzword. In 2008 most of the products will be centered around this. The new product launches will see innovative products like the next generation UPS specially designed to suit Indian power conditions, and the Power Distribution Units, amongst others."
Further, the company foresees more and more channel partners getting into value-added reselling. Nair said that the key is to upsell and acquire newer and latest skill sets. Emerson provides round the year calendar for such aspiring partners to ensure they keep honing their skill sets and graduate to newer learning options.
