Networking company D-Link India recently announced that its NetDefend Firewall series has received IPSec 1.2 Enhanced Certification from ICSA Labs.
For more than a decade, ICSA Labs, formerly known as the International Computer Security Association and an independent division of Verizon Business, has been the security industry's central authority for research, intelligence, and certification of testing products. ICSA Labs sets standards for information security products and certifies more than 95% of the installed base of antivirus, firewall, IPSec VPN, cryptology, SSL VPN, network IPS, anti-spyware and PC firewall products commonly deployed around the world.
"ICSA Labs Firewall and IPSec certifications are recognized worldwide as the benchmark for network security industry excellence," said Jayesh Kotak, vice president, product management, D-Link India. "D-Link's achievement of the latest ICSA Labs Firewall 4.1 as well as ICSA Labs IPSec 1.2 Enhanced certification once again demonstrates D-Link's ongoing commitment to providing the highest quality standards in network security."
D-Link's NetDefend Firewalls provide a suite of security features that are structured into a dedicated integrated platform, NetDefendOS, that seamlessly integrates Virtual Private Network (VPN), Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDP/IPS), Web Content Filtering, Traffic Management, High Availability, and D-Link's end-point security technology - ZoneDefense.
Delivering high quality products with value-added security features, the company provides small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and enterprises high quality security solutions at price and performance to meet the demands of rapidly evolving IT challenges, the company said.
In obtaining the IPSec Version 1.2 Enhanced Certification, the D-Link NetDefend Firewall Family was run through a series of rigorous tests, including Internet Key Exchange (IKE), Encapsulation Security, robust cryptography algorithm, authentication using certificates, system logging and more.
