Dayal To Drive Juniper Development In India

Juniper Networks has appointed Bangalore-based Diwakar Dayal as manager of emerging technologies for India who will be responsible for driving Juniper Networks emerging technology sales activities, including technical operations and business development.
According to Gartner, approximately 80 percent of enterprise employees now work from a branch office, a trend that is driving customer demand for more features, bandwidth and quality in their branch networks, said Nagendra Venkaswamy, managing director, Juniper India and the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) sub region.
Commenting on Dayal s appointment, Venkaswmy said, Diwakar s role is a new one at Juniper, created to serve the growing interests in the Indian market for branch office solutions that combine robust protection from both external and internal threats with strong networking capabilities.
An eight-year veteran in the security industry, Dayal formerly held business development roles with Datacraft India, where he was instrumental in growing the security products, consulting and managed services business groups. He was also with Verisign and Wipro Net, where he held sales and pre-sales roles and worked with corporate clients such as Wipro, Infosys and Mphasis.
A number of major Indian banks and other businesses now use Juniper s WAN acceleration and network access technologies for data replication and branch network acceleration, and to meet regulatory and compliance requirements, which mandate tight control of access to sensitive assets.
