Dell Redesigns Vostro Laptops

Dell has redesigned Vostro laptop line for small businesses, introducing worldwide availability of the new 13.1-inch Vostro 1310 starting at Rs. 40,900 and the 15.4-inch Vostro 1510 starting at Rs. 37,900. The company will also offer a redesigned 17-inch Vostro 1710 laptop in June.
The new Vostro 1310 is 13% thinner and 10% lighter than the previous generation Vostro laptops. According to the company, besides being thinner and lighter, the new Vostro laptops deliver some customer-driven features, such as - a sleek design, with slot load optical drive, no compromise on battery life, continuation of the industry's best return policy, availability with no trialware and free services including Network Assistant and Dell Connect and best-in-class data security.
According to Dell, the enhanced security features in the products include, integrated fingerprint readers, Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 1.2, helping prevent unauthorized network access and data theft, cable lock slot, and option for Dell-exclusive, factory-installed McAfee Total Protection for Small Business security software.
The laptop manufacturer informs, in order to address this shift, and provide more choice to customers, Dell is planning to expand its laptop portfolio by 50% this year, to deliver the broadest product lineup in the company's history.
