After successful sales in US, Europe and Far East, EKA Designs has launched the Field Ready GPS Camera in India. The Field Ready GPS Camera is used in different environments to tag the location coordinates onto the picture along with altitude and date/time.
EKA Designs has built the GPS receiver SE-1 around the Ricoh 500 SE digicam, which is a field-ready, 8 MP, wireless and Bluetooth-enabled digital camera. As per a company communique, this camera plays a key role in determining the location for any establishment.
Through this camera, users can take pictures embedded with latitude and longitude. When the pictures are loaded onto the computer, they can be linked to popular mapping softwares such as Google Earth. Additionally, the camera can determine the direction from which the photograph was taken, making its useful in critical applications for drawing boundaries, analyzing pictures of natural disasters etc.
