Elegant Brings in New BI Suite

Ahemdabad-based Elegant MicroWeb has launched ElegantJ BI, a complete integrated Corporate Performance Management and Business Intelligence suite. This suite is based on J2EE architecture right now, and the company is currently working on JSS interface.
Brijesh Singha, manager (BI Practice), informs, "Today challenges for any organization arise from increasing customer focus and demands, growing market competition fueled by globalization and technology impacts. Besides, with optimizing business operations and facing challenges in unifying growing data volumes across geographies, need for more timely business decisions become imperative." He also emphasizes on the need for business performance visibility and accountability.
Singha claims that the product is one third in terms of TCO, license, maintenance and implementation costs vis- -vis competition. As per the research done by the company, the BI market is estimated to increase by 50% by 2010.
On its plans for the Indian market, he says, "We are planning to grow in India through partnerships in different regions. We are aiming to grow through strategy and management consultants, SI partners - as well as OEM partnership with enterprise application vendors."
The company has categorized the partners into various groups, consulting partners, OEM partners, VAR, SIs, volume resellers. To begin with, it will rope in 10 to 12 consulting partners with one each in major cities. Besides, it will bring on 15 OEM partners, 15 to 20 VARs as well as volume resellers and 12 SIs.
All these partners are expected to be on board by the end of this year. The company is expecting to finish at least 6 to 7 installations this year. Initially, it will focus more on the western region.
