Emerson All Set to Boost Presence in India

Emerson Network Power, India has unveiled its strategy to capture substantial share of the Indian rack solutions segment. As a part of its strategy, Emerson will primarily target data centers in IT, ITES and Telecom verticals with an aim to capture 15% of the estimated Rs. 450 crore IT and Telecom rack solutions market by the end of 2007.
Commenting on the launch, Sandeep Nair, MD, Emerson Network Power, India said, The Indian rack solutions segment has tremendous potential and we are confident of garnering a substantial market share in coming years. India s emergence as the back office hub of the world coupled with the exponential growth of telecom and other segments has driven the need to develop and maintain world-class data centers. Our high-tech rack solutions will offer turnkey solutions to all organizations and will help plug an important need felt by data centers and thereby help us further extend our leadership in the enterprise segment.
To effectively reach its target audience across India, Emerson will identify and select large System Integrators (SI s) to actively support the sale of rack solutions. Emerson has also created a special profile for these partners referring to them as Network Solution Partners and plans to tap 8-10 NSP s for its rack solutions business.
Emerson has also launched PNR 42, a floor mounting rack solution specially designed for cabling, networking and light server applications.
PNR 42 is a complete sheet steel structure and is designed for easy configuration and mounting Flexibilities. The folded sheet steel frame gives it the capability to handle static load of 350 kgs. The top cover design enables effective air management and easy cable entry. With features like the double-sided door configurability and 65% perforations, the PNR 42 offers an unmatched combination of aesthetics, design and superlative performance.
