Emerson India Set to Launch Rack Solutions
By
ChannelTimes Staff
Mumbai, Feb 9, 2006
Emerson Network Power (India) announced its plans to launch rack and enclosures solutions for the Indian market.
The launch comes close on the heels of Emerson's acquisition of Knurr AG of Munich, Germany, the global provider of rack and enclosure technologies for IT and telecom vertical. With this acquisition, Emerson Network Power India becomes the only player in India to offer cooling solutions at the room, rack or chip level, the company said.
Knurr's broad platform of rack systems will integrate with Emerson's cooling and power management technologies, helping customers solve problems in new and existing installations and giving data center managers more flexibility in facility design.
These solutions will be available in the Indian market starting March 2006.
Commenting on the launch, Sandeep Nair, managing director, Emerson Network Power (India), said, "In data centers, Emerson was first to market with cooling solutions for extreme density applications with its Liebert XD cooling platform. With the launch of rack-cooling solutions as part of its portfolio, Emerson Network Power now delivers the broadest portfolio of technologies - taking proven cooling technologies from room-level applications and integrating them into the rack. We strongly believe that these solutions, which will be targeted particularly at data centers and telecom sites, will help us further extend our leadership in the enterprise segment."
The market size for IT racks solutions in India is currently estimated at Rs 200 crore and Emerson expects to be a market leader in this space.

please find the detailed decryption of our requirement.
We have a server rack and four assembled servers with ATX cabinets in our office. Because of space problems, we would like to convert these cabinets into 1U or 2U cabinets so that we can mount these servers on the rack.
We look forward to meeting your engineer in this regard and obtaining your views
Let me know if you have any queries. |
