Enkay, Lifesize Plan to Focus on Corporate

By ChannelTimes Staff
Mumbai, Jul 10, 2007

Enkay Technologies, a global converged solutions provider, has recently tied up with Lifesize, the video communications company. This new partnership aims to target the Indian corporate segment by providing comprehensive video communications solutions.

According to Dayal Hemrajani, managing director of Enkay Technologies, this tieup will enhance Enkay's capabilities to deliver multimedia solutions, and also to meet varied needs of different verticals. Initially, the two companies have decided to focus on verticals like education, medical, BFSI, manufacturing, IT/software, telecommunication, etc.

Commenting on the partnership, Hemrajani said, "This partnership will enable us to enhance our product offering to customers. It will also help in leveraging increased use of high definition videoconferencing among Enkay's existing and potential customers."

The alliance with Lifesize will improve Enkay's product base, which comprises other communications solutions like enterprise telephony, multimedia, IT, contact centers, hospitality, etc. "These solutions can be used by all the corporates to enhance their business performance and to reduce their total cost of operation," added Hemrajani.

Talking about the growing acceptability of video solutions, Hemrajani said, "Videoconferencing use has become pervasive and it is no longer a product that is useful for just a specific industry or vertical. It allows effective and timely communication across the board. With the improving connectivity/infrastructure more users are adopting videoconference."

For better availability, Enkay will market, sell, and support Lifesize products throughout India.

On the selection of Enkay, Craig Malloy, CEO of Lifesize, said, "Lifesize partners are selected based on their business expertise, commitment, and acumen for extending the Lifesize value, brand and integrity into their respective marketplaces."
What do you think of the Enkay-Lifesize alliance?
