Epson Business Inkjet Printer for SMEs and SOHOs

Epson has introduced EPSON Stylus C110 single function printer. The personal business inkjet is aimed at business-users who need the high print speed and crisp black text quality of laser printers, but demand the affordability, accurate color qualities, and paper-type flexibility of inkjet printers.
According to Ram Prasad, business manager (Consumer Product Group) of Epson, India, laser printers are coveted because of their very high printing speed, precision quality printouts for monochrome text, and high page yields.
"However, for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Small Office Home Offices (SOHOs), buying and operating laser printers also represent a hefty cost in terms of initial purchase, toner replacements, and energy consumption," he said.
Housed in a black and silver case, the EPSON Stylus has features and performance that match typical monochrome laser printers. The new inkjet zooms through black text prints at 25 ppm (pages per minute) in quality print mode, or at an incredible 37 ppm in draft mode -- all without the long warm up delay apparent in laser printers.
Specific to the increasing need for color printouts, users can now get a glossy photo finish possible only on inkjet systems. Using the new DURABrite Ultra inks, users can expect the durable prints.
Inkjets also has the ability to print on a wide array of media including photo paper, photo stickers, and CD sleeves.
The EPSON Stylus C110 has the ability to load 2 black ink cartridges for a combined 5 ink cartridge configuration -- that's 2 black and 3 color ink cartridges. For heavy black text printing usage, users can choose the high capacity black ink cartridges for greater page yield results. For regular users, it works just as well with 2 standard capacity black ink cartridges.
The new printer also prints at resolutions of up to 5760dpi (dots per inch), comparable with dedicated photo printers to ensure clear photo quality finishes.
The EPSON StylusC110 is priced at Rs.5,999. Standard ink cartridges are priced at Rs.460 while the high capacity ink cartridges are priced at Rs.640. The printer is available from November, 2007.
