Eric Lim Joins Progress as MD for Asia

Progress Software Corporation, leading provider of application infrastructure software, has named Eric Lim as the new managing director for Asia. Lim will take care of all operational aspects including sales, services, support, marketing, and education in India, Southeast Asia, Greater China, and Korea.
Welcoming the new MD onboard, Larry DiLoreto, VP, Progress Software (Asia Pacific), said, "Lim's appointment will enable Progress to substantially increase its service to customers and partners in the region and further capitalize on the wide variety of opportunities available. We see a strong demand for our software tools and applications across a wide variety of industries -- fuelled by strong regional economic growth."
Prior to joining Progress, Lim was associated with Software AG as GM (Asia) where he led their webMethods business. He also held various management positions with Yahoo, TIBCO Software, and IBM in South and Southeast Asia.
He was awarded a British High Commission Foreign and Commonwealth post graduate scholarship and holds a Master of Science degree in artificial intelligence from University of Essex, United Kingdom.
