F-Secure Intros Internet Security 2008 Solution

By ChannelTimes Staff
Mumbai, Sep 3, 2007

To enable Internet users to combat online threats, F-Secure Corporation has introduced F-Secure Internet Security 2008 solution.

F-Secure Internet Security 2008 solution is specifically designed to require minimal user interaction; it removes the need to separately maintain and update several separate security programs. Through this solution, the company intends to introduce Online Well-Being as the prime way for PC users to experience data security, as opposed to the traditional threat and fear-oriented approaches that the industry has used.

Ari Alakiuttu, vice president (Products and Services) of F-Secure said that their task is to enable customers to soar with the possibilities of the net, leaving their security worries to be handled by their professionally designed solutions.

The solution includes a 12-month subscription to a fully automated and continuous update service from F-Secure Security Labs. The product also has a proactive protection technology, F-Secure DeepGuard, to provide an additional line of defense during those crucial first hours, when no signature identification is yet available to protect against new, unknown threats. In effect, DeepGuard reduces the response time to zero.

The new solution also uses less computer resources than before. It also features improved parental controls with new categories of controlled web content and a safe Internet list (so-called whitelist of Web sites).

The solution provides protection for up to 3 PCs in the same household, supports Windows Vista, and has a localized user interface and electronic user manual in 25 different languages. The solution also helps users take care of the well-being of their most personal computers - and smartphone by including a free trial version of F-Secure Mobile Anti-Virus solution for Symbian and Windows Mobile smartphones.

F-Secure Internet Security 2008 is available through F-Secure's online store and through its resellers and retailers.
Can this solution tackle present-day web threats?
