Mumbai, Jul 24, 2008
Fujitsu India, a provider of customer-focused information technology solutions, has decided to ramp up its operations in India. The company plans to engage several new channel partners from various strategic markets in the country.
The company will engage top channel partners in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad. It will also invest in training channel partners, developing marketing programmes and conducting road shows. Fujitsu and the partners will engage in joint and balanced mix of brand building exercises to add substantial value to its perception and equity.
As of now Fujitsu India has few Tier-1 partners including distributor and a number of Regional SI partners. It wishes to add few more partners who would have nationwide presence. It will also appoint Tier-1 enterprise partner, who would address the requirements like platform migration, application development other than system integration.
Commenting on this scenario, Tosh Kataoka, general manager (IT Business), Fujitsu India, said, "It being an important member of BRIC economy, India is a strategic and one of the most demanding market for Fujitsu. The company forte has been IT hardware, and we aim to strengthen our presence in the India and expand the regional reach through strong channel partners. We have had good customer wins in the space of government, research, manufacturing and utilities vertical and BFSI in the past 6 to 8 months. Therefore, in order to address our business growth, we need to appoint more channel partners all across the country. So, our newly appointed SI partners will be spread across all major cities."
