Toeing the line of most major vendors, the Taiwan-based IT and consumer electronics brand - Genius has tied-up with Ingram Micro and Redington for distributing its products across the country.
The company intends to strengthen its pan-India presence by appointing the 2 national distributors, in addition to its existing 2 distribution partners- Tirupati Enterprises and Transtek Infoways - taking the total count to 4. Under the tie-up, Ingram Micro and Redington will distribute the entire range of Genius products including, Digicams, Handicams, Webcams, Mice, Keyboards, Headseats, Speaker Systems, Home Theatres, MP3 players, etc. through their dealers' and resellers' network across the country.
Speaking on the new tie up, Sandeep Ramani, country manager of KYE Systems (India) said, "Ingram Micro and Redington are large distribution companies with a vast dealer network across the country and having tied up with them, we've fulfilled our first objective, viz., to have a complete national presence."
He added that this tie-up complements the existing distribution arrangement with Tirupati and Transtek, because each company has its distinct advantage. "We expect that this new relationship, along with our existing one, will reflect positively on our business turnout in the country and create a win-win situation for all of us," said Ramani.
"It's good to partner with Genius, a company which is focussed towards offering quality products at an affordable price. We feel this partnership will help provide our customers with interesting profit making options in the IT and lifestyle space," said K Jaishankar, managing director of Ingram Micro India.
Commenting on behalf of Redington, Neogi, president of Redington India said that Genius is a reliable and well-recognized brand in the PC Components arena and its range of products augment the portfolio that it offers to its valued channel partners.
