Genius Intros 2 Lifestyle Speaker Systems

By ChannelTimes Staff
Mumbai, Mar 20, 2006

Genius recently announced the launch of two swanky speaker systems - Genius SP-i200 and Genius SP-i350 - designed especially for MP3 players and notebooks.

Sandeep K. Ramani, country manager (India), KYE Systems, said, "Today, Genius is a widely accepted brand in India. Since we have our own manufacturing and R&D, our motto is to how Genius can add to the experience of people when it comes to computing and entertainment.

"Genius believes in innovation and we have been doing so consistently. Lots of lifestyle products are being launched in India by Genius and I am very sure that these two lifestyle products will provide the laptop and MP3 users the required portability without compromising on the sound effects and the output quality."

The SP-i200 is a one-piece, small yet lightweight and portable speaker system for MP3 players. Using advanced high-efficiency class-D IC and engineered neodymium drivers, the Genius SP-i200 provides 6-watts RMS high-quality sound.

Other features include one can adjust the stand for listening comfort and can see the flashing LED in case the battery is low. This speaker also comes with a protective travel bag. The SP-i200 can be powered by either the AC adapter (included) or by four AAA batteries (up to 10 hours if at maximum volume). The speaker is available in two colors, black and white.

The second speaker system, Genius SP-i350, is a two-piece high-quality stereo speaker system designed specifically for MP3, notebook, but can be connected to CD, DVD player or even a flat-panel monitor. The SP-i350 provides 10 watts RMS, four engineered full-range neodymium micro drivers and deep bass enhancement technology. It is compact and thinner than normal desktop speakers in the market, the company said.

The speakers also have a two-level collapsible stand on each satellite for maximum listening comfort. Genius SP-i350 too comes in black and white colors.

Genius SP-i200 is priced at Rs 1,750 (MRP) and Genius SP-i350 Rs 2,200 (MRP). The speakers will be available by March end at all branches of Transtek Infoways, the authorized distributor of Genius in India.
What is the potential for SP-i200 & SP-i350?
