HCL Launches India's First 1TB PC

HCL Infosystems has launched India's first personal computer with 1 TeraByte (TB) hard drive capacity, targeted at designing and animation professionals and consumers who use and store multimedia content such as personal videos, home movies, high-definition pictures, and music.
Powered by Hitachi Global Storage Technologies' recently launched Deskstar 7K1000 1 TB hard drive, the new HCL PC has been introduced in 2 models - an entry level and a high-end Digital Content Creation Workstation.
The entry-level PC ships with Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 1 GB RAM, 17" flat panel monitor, HCL EC2 technology and HCL Active Management Console. The Digital Content Creation Workstation comes loaded with Intel Core 2 Duo processor and a special bundle of Quadro FX 1500 and Adobe Production Studio Premium.

HCL has announced countrywide availability of these PCs, with the entry-level model priced at Rs.35,000 and the Digital Content Creation Workstation at Rs.99,000.
