HP Celebrates 2 Decades of Deskjet Printers

Hewlett-Packard India has introduced special offers on the purchase of its HP Deskjet printers to mark the completion of two decades and shipments of over 250 million of the product.
Speaking on the offers, Ashwini K. Aggarwal, country business manager (consumer imaging & printing products, Imaging & Printing Group), Hewlett-Packard India, said, "It is celebration time at HP. With these offers, we want our customers, who have been a strong contributor to this journey, to partake in the celebration."
Valid till April 30, 2008, the scheme offers a free gold certificate from Tanishq worth Rs. 25,000, Reebok travel bags, Reebok backpacks, Timex watches, Beetel cordless phones and Beetel caller ID phones. Customers can avail all these freebies against purchase of HP's range of inkjet products including HP Deskjet, All-in-Ones and HP Officejet Printers.

Its very good from HP side, but from customer end, it will be better to take care of service & replacement part, rather launching new offer for customers. We, M/s. COMPTECH, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India, are facing a very tiny problem with a replacement of one toner cartridge Q-2610A for last four months, which was damaged by the ARC people during transit. We have mailed to Pradeep Yadav, Arpita Mani & ARC people in Mumbai (Ruby), but till date, HP is not taking care. Is it the strategy og the Company towards its valued customer or end-users. |

CONGRATULATIONS HP. You have every reason to celebrate. Profit margins are good(just for example) HP 4355 printer is available in international market $ 95 (APPX. Rs. 3800/-) whereas in India it is available nothing below Rs. 6500/- through dealers. What kind of prices end users are paying surprises me. And HP is resistant in letting others import freely and creating hurdles by not providing international warranty on imported Printers. |
