Mumbai, Apr 13, 2007
HP StorageWorks division has announced the launch of three new storage offerings for the growing SMB's in the country.
The storage offerings include disk-based backup and recovery system (D2D Backup), HP StorageWorks MSL8096 tape library and the newest HP StorageWorks 1200 all-in-one storage system (HP AiO1200) to help SMBs choose the right technology for their specific business needs.
Designed for the business continuity and IT needs of SMBs, the new HP StorageWorks D2D backup system automates and centralizes backup to provide data protection for up to four servers in a single, secure, self-managing device.
The HP D2D backup system integrates into existing network-based IT environments and can be configured and managed in three intuitive steps. Daily backups become fully automatic, reducing the risk of human error and hardware problems. Restoring lost or corrupted files also becomes easier because backup data is stored online.
The HP StorageWorks MSL8096 tape library will meet a broad range of data storage needs including unattended backup, archive, and disaster recovery for medium to large businesses, workgroups or remote offices.
With browser-based remote management, the MSL8096 is managed from across the room, or across the globe, reducing dependencies on local IT staff.
The HP MSL8096 tape library offers up to 76TB of compressed storage capacity in only an 8U form factor and is available in a variety of configurations. The MSL8096 tape library provides customers choice of hot-swap Ultrium 960 or Ultrium 920 SAS tape drives as well as the option to add a redundant power supply.
The HP AiO1200, storage systems helps customers store, share, manage and protect rapidly growing pools of application and file data. It blends file serving, shared storage array and data protection functions.
