Hewlett-Packard (HP) has introduced its Accidental Damage Protection service under the HP Total Care Programme in India. The service ensures hardware replacement in the event of an accident, and helps avoid the unprecedented cost that one incurs on repairs or replacements caused by accidents.
Commenting on this service, Deepti Dang, Head, Marketing (Commercial & SMB, Personal Systems Group), HP India, said, "At HP, we understand how unexpected damage to your PC can negatively impact the productivity and efficiency of your business. With this service under HP's Total Care suite, we ensure that the risk is minimized, and PC users get the peace of mind that their IT hardware is insured against any accidental damage."
This service, coupled with PC Tracing and E-mail filter, is available for HP branded notebooks, handheld devices and tablet PCs. As per the company, the service offers enhanced hardware protection as compared to general insurance. The service is available across the country, and its price starts at Rs 350 for 1-5 years.
