HP Partners Face Online Glitches

As more manufacturers are turning to online portals for reaching out to dealers, some HP partners reveal that the benefits of the vendor's portal would be more enjoyable if few oft-experienced glitches could be eliminated.
"At times, information isn't up to the mark. For instance, if we try to look out for drives for the software they're not easily available. In that case, we have to go to the service station and get the information on that," said Mumbai-based Rajendra Parmar, proprietor of Max World.
Sharing his views, Liz Varghese, assistant manager of Kerala-based Business Promotion said, "Most of the time, problems are faced while claiming. Even 2 days prior to filing the claims, the data might not be properly uploaded." Varghese's statement is not an isolated case. Many partners across the country speak in the similar vein.
Delhi-based Ajeet Kumar, service in-charge of Compro Computers said, "There's always been a problem regarding the uploading of data in the portal. If there's a 3 year warranty on a laptop, the portal shows a warranty for 2 years. Instead of showing the warranty period since the date of sale of products, it shows the warranty since the date of manufacture."
Chennai-based Richard of Precision Galaxy also shared his view on problems faced at the time of claiming. "The problem that we mostly come across is regarding the password. Every time we login for submission of our claims, they always ask for new password or password incorrect."
While stating their problems, partners added that on contacting HP with their individual grievance, the vendor promptly resolves them.

This is nothing new. It had been there since the inception of the HP Claims portal itself. Even while i am typing this on logging into the HP Website it shows as an "Internal Error".Many times our claim claim filing are delayed just becuase of their server errors. And HP being HP they expect you to run to them every time their server is down which is practically not possible everytime. |
