Mumbai, Jun 12, 2008
Taking a step ahead in its marketing initiative, HP has joined hands with Electronic Arts. The move also incorporates the up-coming release of the anticipated game from Will Wright, Spore. Now, consumers in Asia Pacific will have the opportunity to download the trial version of 'Spore Creature Creator' from mid-July 2008 and have a go at creating their own Spore creatures.
In a bid to make the event communicative and creative, HP -- along with EA Asia Pacific and MTV Asia Networks - will promote an exciting creature creation design competition in the same period. The trial version of 'Spore Creature Creator' and details of the competition will be available on www.SporeShow.com very soon.
The HP-EA collaboration strengthens HP's ability to deliver the personal aspect of technology at play. Ajay Mohan, VP (Marketing, Personal Systems Group), HP Asia Pacific and Japan said, "Consumer computing has matured and HP understands that the PC serves as the critical link to connect users with digital content and experiences that are important to them. Personal computing is not just about great design and performance. It is also about the unique out-of-box experiences one has with the PC and the array of content choices available that promotes self-expression and creative freedom in this increasingly digital world. With EA and Spore, we found a strong synergy in providing customers across all age groups a unique PC experience and an avenue to express themselves, with imagination as the only limit."
Spore, the highly-anticipated game, gives players their own personal universe in a box. Create and evolve life, establish tribes, build civilizations, sculpt entire world, and explore a universe filled with creations made by other gamers. It gives players a wealth of creative tools to customize nearly every aspect of their universe: creatures, vehicles, buildings, and even UFOs.
