The high price woes around color printing devices would soon be a matter of past with HP taking up a series of measures including educating the partners.
Coping with the growing usage of color printing and competitions increasing on the need to provide cost effective color solution to small businesses, HP has set a new industry standard in low cost printing, speed, quality and productivity relative to laser devices.
The company has introduced its new range of inkjet based HP Officejet Pro All-in-One and single function printers that deliver small businesses up to 30 percent lower cost per page than laser printers with high print speeds and high-volume laser-quality color and mono output.
According to Ashwini K. Aggarwal, country business manager, Business Imaging and Printing group, "The new office jet pro-printer series is specifically designed to drive down the cost of color printing for SOHO, micro and small businesses, small businesses and it is a good alternative over laser printing".
He also says, "over the past years we have been witnessing the growing demand of color printing but due to high price point of laser printing small businesses were not able to upgrade themselves from mono to color."
The new HP Officejet Pro All-in-Ones and single function printers allow small businesses with new color printing options, he says.
"Our sales team is all set to create education and training programs for our channel partners. We will be positioning our new product range for existing and emerging markets," he notes.
The company will be conducting road shows for end users and the channel in 100 cities by the end of 2007. HP has developed a unique end user advocacy program for the HP Officejet Pro Series - 'Masters of Microbiz'. All four HP officejet pro models are available with all HP authorized partners across India.
Aggarwal also says, "HP has 342 service and support centers across 155 cities in India to support the HP Officejet Pro series. HP has 1500 purchase points to purchase cartridges across the country that includes 900 HP original cartridge stores."
