HP Unveils New Retail Photo Solutions at Photofair

By ChannelTimes Staff
Mumbai, Mar 14, 2008 1147 hrs IST

Hewlett-Packard, the imaging and printing company, is showcasing an expanded portfolio of photo printing solutions at the ongoing Photofair 2008 for India based on its Print 2.0 strategy.

HP's new range comprises the new Photo Center, Photosmart PM 2000e Microlab printer and Photosmart ML 1000 Minilab printer. In addition, HP also exhibited an extended line of photo printing solutions including Snapfish and photo printers for consumers. To reach out to the professional photographers, HP announced a special price range exclusively for Designjets at the fair. For photography enthusiasts, HP introduced Photosmart printers and All-in-Ones at special prices.

Speaking on the sidelines of Photofair 2008, Rich Duncombe, vice president, Retail Photo Services, Web Services and Software Business, said, "With our advanced Retail Photo Solutions supported by Snapfish and our fleet of photo printing solutions, we are confident to change the dynamics of the photo printing market. We are positive that consumers will enjoy the new photo printing experience introduced by HP."

The PM2000e Microlab Printer is the next generation of HP's retail photo printing solutions, delivering fast, lab-quality photos in both 4 x 6- and 5 x 7-inch sizes. Prints are also available on both matte and glossy photo papers. This compact, simple-to-operate printer includes a new order-sorting system with a capacity of up to 18 orders and with back-printing capabilities.

The ML1000 Minilab Printer is an advanced printing system that is optimized for quality, productivity and volume. The system can produce a variety of print sizes and finishes, from 3.5 x 5 inches to 12 x 18 inches. The ML1000 printer provides a dry alternative to the existing wet systems available in the market.

HP also showcased a plethora of Photosmart printers and All-in-Ones at special prices. The first 100 buyers of HP Photosmart D7368 and HP Photosmart D8758 get a tripod worth Rs.2,000 through a lucky draw every hour. The company also introduced a special price range for its Photosmart range - 7368, 5368, A626 and 8758 - and All-in-Ones - 5288, 8188 and 7288.

As part of the celebration, HP Snapfish will offer 20 free prints for consumers who log on and order prints at Photofair.
