Hewlett-Packard has announced that the 1000th unit of its Enterprise Virtual Array (EVA) product line has been successfully adopted across businesses in India.
The EVA product line offers simplicity, ease of use and manageability. Moreover, it offers an easily deployed data management solution for both enterprises and midsize, growing businesses at an affordable price-point, the company said. With built in virtualization, it is designed to improve capacity utilization, which lowers the cost of ownership as compared to traditional arrays.
Manoj Suvarna, Country Manager (StorageWorks Division), HP India, said, "Customers in India are rapidly adopting mid-range SAN solutions today than 12 months ago. The fact that HP has achieved this success in a short span of time is endorsement of the reliability, value and manageability offered by the HP EVA product line."
The EVA4400 has robust local and remote replication capabilities with HP Business Copy EVA and HP Continuous Access EVA software. Other SAN environments typically create significant management overheads, but the EVA4400 is easier to configure and automates storage provisioning to improve capacity utilization, the company said.
