IITL Launches New GPRS-based Software

MeraMobi, the new software for GPRS active mobile phones from India Interactive Technologies, offers a blend of transaction, information and entertainment services under one roof. Also to ensure complete trust and comfort, credit card details are neither registered nor stored.
Besides booking train & air tickets and making utility bill payments, the new software provides invaluable information and loads of fun, the company said.
Rajeev Mishra, business head, IITL, said, "The intuitive and intelligent world of MeraMobi presents a first-of-its-kind medium for advertising which is captive, visually rich, non-intrusive and clutter-free. The medium is tailormade for building brand saliency with the TG everybody's chasing."
The new software uses industry standard techniques to encrypt sensitive user information and protect it throughout the transaction. MeraMobi supports a large range of phones. The product is designed to look and work well on everything from a small basic phone to a powerful smart phone. The product is easy to download, understand and use, according to the company.
To determine the usage pattern, consumer preference and future intent of MeraMobi, the company enlisted research agency AC Nielsen to conduct an extensive consumer research.
Says Dharnidhar Bapat, associate director, client solutions, The Nielsen Company, "The research findings showed that amongst the services of MeraMobi, My City service was considered both unique and relevant thus frequently used. A high number of users were able to identify with the Money Matters application and found it easy to comprehend. Cinema, cricket and news were the all-time favorites."
To download and use MeraMobi one needs to just SMS 'MeraMobi' to 54567.
